What do you do?
The Secret Cabaret are a professional, high quality, highly experienced and unique covers band and are the perfect choice for all types of event. We have played together for over 12 years having performed hundreds of times to many thousands of people. We regularly entertain audiences at festivals, weddings, corporate events, functions, charity balls, private parties and public shows in pubs and clubs. We can cater for any size of occasion ranging from full electric live shows to smaller and more intimate acoustic shows as required.

What sort of music do you play?
We have an extensive (and ever-growing) song list that caters for all tastes and age groups. with hits from the 1950s right up to the present day covering rock, pop, disco, indie, soul and rock and roll! The songs you love are given The Secret Cabaret vintage treatment with double bass, guitars and exquisite 3 part vocal harmonies to top things off. We pride ourselves on our performances being 100% live with no backing tracks or electronic gadgets.

What do you wear?
Typically the band attire is smart shirts with ties and waistcoats. We are totally flexible and are willing to adhere to any dress-code or party theme as required. Please let us know your requirements when booking.

How long do you play for?
As a guide we typically play one of the following show f
ormats.

For weddings, events and functions:

•         2 x 45 minute sets

•         2 x 60 minute sets

For festivals:

*         1 x 60 minute set

Please note we are completely flexible with show timings and set lenghths and are more than willing to play to the format you require. Simply mention your requirements when booking.

 

What equipment do you use?
The Secret Cabaret are a fully self contained 4 piece band consisting of drums, double bass, 2 x guitars and 3 x vocals.

We will provide all of our own equipment including a PA suitable for events up to 500 peoples and a lighting system. If your event is larger we can arrange suitable sound and lighting solutions to meet your event requirements.

We are also more than happy to work with third party event and sound companies as required. Just let us know your requirements when booking.

Do I need to book a DJ too?

It depends on your requirements. We are more than happy to supply a party playlist through a laptop with an extensive song list of popular music to play through our sound system before, between and after our sets at no extra cost to keep the atmosphere going whilst the band is not playing.

How much do you charge?

Please contact us for your own bespoke, no obligation quote. Our rates are competitive against other function & wedding bands in the UK. 
All quotes include:

•   All travel expenses.

•   Professional band lighting.

•   Professional sound system.

•   Party playlist and background music (if required) throughout the evening.

•   Facility to plug in your own i-pod/i-phone or laptop.

•   First dance (if a wedding) performed by the band.

•   The ability to make announcements throughout the evening.

•   Public liability insurance cover (Certificate available on request).

•   Fully PAT tested electrical equipment. (Certificate available on request).

 

What time will you arrive to set up?
We will arrange a suitable arrival and set-up time with yourself prior to the event.

How long do you need to set up and soundcheck?

We typically take around 60 minutes to set-up and soundcheck. We prefer to carry out the sound-check before the arrival of guests where possible.

 

Where do you play?
The Secret Cabaret
are available to hire in the anywhere in the UK (or even the world!). We regularly perform at a wide variety of venues ranging from pubs & village halls to large country estates and wedding venues, theatres, festivals and beyond. 

 

Can I come and watch a show before I book you?
Of course, we would love to meet you. The Secret Cabaret play at a wide variety of private and public shows. If you wish to see the band in the flesh, let us know! We like to respect the privacy of our private bookers, but you would be more than welcome
to attend any of our public performances. Please get in touch and we can let you know of upcoming shows.

 

Do you take song requests?
We welcome requests for specific songs from our repertoire and the band will try to accommodate as many of these as possible. If you would like us to learn and play a song that is not in our repertoire, please let us know in advance so we have sufficient time to arrange and rehearse the song.

 

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully cpvered by public liability insurance.

Is your equipment PAT tested?

Yes, all of our equipment is well maintained and PAT certified.

 

What will you need from me?
The Secret Cabaret are a 4 piece band so would ideally be provided minimum playing space of 4 metres x 5 metres (approx) with plug sockets. We would also appreciate a room to get changed in and something to eat and drink. 

 

Some sound advice...
Before you book your entertainment we advise that you check with your venue to make sure they can accommodate for live music. Some venues have volume restrictions with cut off systems. Not all venues will make you aware of this when you make a booking and this has potential to cause problems on the night. 

 

We are, of course, more than happy to adjust our volume levels to some degree however there are occasions where the venues restricted levels are too low to work within. The band needs to be informed of the venues noise code in order to respect it. Please ask your coordinator or event/venue manager and inform us when enquiring.
